The organic artichoke spread is produced by the Moulins Mahjoub in the Medjerda valley in the North of Tunisia, a traditional artichoke growing area. Mixed with the estate’s extra virgin olive oil, it has a rich and fresh flavour of steamed artichokes. We recommend it on toasted bread as an appetiser or a vegetarian sandwich, together with fish or vegetables or in a salad dressing. It can also be used as a light sauce for pasta and couscous when mixed with extra virgin olive oil.
It won a Great Taste Award Star in 2019. Commenting on the product taste, the judges explained: “The aroma of this artichoke dip is fantastic with a tangy artichoke note. We get a light aroma of cumin.We like the gentle seasoning from the lemon and feel that this allows the artichoke flavour to shine through. It has a clean, unadulterated flavour,. The mouthfeel is smooth and pleasant.”
