The Ultimate Hangover Beans on Toast

A couple of weeks ago we collaborated with Bold Beans to create some care packages for the morning after Glastonbury. So, we’ve decided to share the recipe that got us through. It’s comforting, nourishing, and perfect for those slow mornings when you’re not quite ready to face the world.

Introducing: The Ultimate Hangover Beans on Toast. Packed with flavour, and guaranteed to bring you back to life (or at least make you feel human again).

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Boil the eggs for 6–7 minutes until soft or medium boiled. Once cooked, peel and slice or halve them.
  2. Warm up the beans gently in a saucepan over medium heat until hot and bubbling.
  3. Toast the sourdough until golden, then slather with good butter.
  4. Pile the beans high on each slice of toast.
  5. Add the boiled egg (sliced or halved) on top of the beans.
  6. Top with crumbled feta and a generous handful of torn coriander.
  7. Add a sprinkling of everything seasoning
  8. Serve immediately to a weary friend (or yourself).
  9. Optional but encouraged: eat in bed, wrapped in a sleeping bag, sunglasses on.

Serves:

One person in need of a serious revival.
