Spicy Jalapeño & Olive Sourdough

We’re delighted to share a Spicy Jalapeño & Olive Sourdough recipe from our valued customer, Dr. Saima Mughal. This unique toast perfectly combines the tang of sourdough with the spicy kick of jalapeños and the saltiness of olives, making it a memorable addition to any meal. Ingredients:
- 1 slice of wheat & rye Labour of Loaf by Good in Bread
- Handful of grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese mix
- 2 knobs of butter
- 6-8 sliced jalapeños in brine
- 4 Greek Kalamata olives, halved
- Drizzle of good-quality extra virgin olive oil
Method:
- Toast: Toast the wheat & rye sourdough until it’s crusty on the outside but still soft inside.
- Butter and Cheese: While the toast is warm, spread the butter, then top with the grated cheese to allow it to melt slightly.
- Toppings: Add the sliced jalapeños and halved Kalamata olives on top.
- Finish: Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and serve with additional olives, jalapeños, and vine tomatoes on the side (optional).
