Description
One of our darker and denser loaves and the Nordic rye ‘loaf story’ baked in a tin with sunflower seeds and rye flakes takes its roots in Germany, where many enjoy it as a savoury breakfast with sides, such as cheese, cured meats or eggs, but it can of course also be paired with avocado, smoked salmon, honey or jam!
It is beautifully moist, packed with flavour and a deep rye earthy aroma. Add to all of that rye goodness a healthy dose of sunflower seeds, which not only give the bread its extra crunch for good measure but are also a great source of Vitamin E, copper, vitamin B1, magnesium and selenium.
This loaf will keep amazingly well at room temperature for days thanks to its dense crumb and taste delicious toasted or un-toasted! We have literally fallen in loaf and we hope you will too!
